On 17-18 September, AHEAD hold a hybrid consortium meeting at the headquarters of the Politie Nederland in The Hague. With the project’s moving into its final stage, particular attention was paid to the strategic dissemination and sustainability of the project’s outcomes.
1️⃣ The first day was devoted to the foresight exercises designed and conducted under AHEAD during which a methodology has been tested and applied to several topics related to security destinations (online policing, border management, cyberattacks, resilience of healthcare infrastructure). The consortium discussed the results obtained and how actionable they were, as well as the policy recommendations that could be derived from them.
2️⃣ The second day focused on the project’s final event preparation, AHEAD’s ambition being to extend invitations to this event to public decision-makers, senior police officers, civil security actors and international foresight experts and to give them the opportunity to try out the AHEAD methodology. It also included a session on the AHEAD handbook, meant as a user guide to help practitioners apply the AHEAD methodology even when they are not familiar with foresight.
➡️ So, two great days during which it was possible to meet up in person with many partners, prepare for the final deliverables of the project and engage in sustainability plans.
👍 And a heartfelt thank you to #PolitieNederland for hosting the meeting in their superb premises!
