Promoting a culture of foresight in the EU 💡

Final event of EU-HYBNET, a sister project of AHEAD, on 12 and 13 February provided an opportunity to know more about the work conducted under ESPAS (European Strategy and Policy Analysis System).

Several items were of particular interest to AHEAD, including:
🔶 The identification and prioritisation of “weak signals”
🔷 The path from “weak signals” to “pattern of disruptions”
🔶 The ESPAS Horizon scanning reports depicting emerging issues for policy-making
🔷 The use of cards as prompts to engage in futures thinking
🔶 The need for a cross sectorial approach to tackle threats
🔷 The development of a community of “scanners”
